Tasa, I have a wifi only iPad mini - apologies for not making this clear in the first instance. I wondered if Tryswitch's iPad was 3G in case that made some sort of difference. I can't understand why my Overdrive is not working when everyone else's appears to be OK. All the other apps that I have are working as expected as far as connection to the internet is concerned.

I should have added that the same problem exists on my iPhone.

I've just tested Overdrive dictionary and Wickepedia functions on my iPad 4 and iPhone 5c and they are working fine on both devices.  Since you're having problems with that as well, Tryswitch, then perhaps your Overdrive app is itself corrupted, or there's a conflict with some other app on your iPad. While it's a hassle, if deleting and reinstalling Overdrive doesn't solve the problem, if it were me I'd think about erasing the iPad and setting it up as a new device rather than using the backup file. I've had to do this a couple of times with iPad and iPhone updates (not this time, though), and while it's a hassle, it clears out corrupted files. Then you can reinstall apps one at a time (install Overdrive first and make sure it's working) by downloading them from the App Store.  Of course you'd want to backup data first on your computer.

I should also note that I had problems with the Overdrive server for about 24 hours after  I upgraded to iOS 7, then suddenly it worked and has been fine since. Your library should know if other people have had similar problems.

If none of this solves your problem, a trip to your local Genius Bar might be in order.

    Good luck!

Can any one get wma audiobooks to transfer to their iphone 4s? Overdrive says this is possible, but my synchs cancel everytime I try to transfer an audio book to my iphone 4s.

I'm replying to my own message since I can't seem to edit my post. I can transfer the wma's fine to my itouch and 3gen and 4gen and used to be able to do it on my iphone 4s until the most recent update. Thank god for old, outdated, technology technology that still works.

After much to and fro ing with support staff at my library and my ISP I found that when I changed my DNS settings from TalkTalk's to Google's that my problem was resolved.

I am having the same problem with the iphone 4.   I tried syncing one part at a time and it still does not work....... I even uninstalled the overdrive app on the pc, but that did not fix the problem either.

Try the help article I posted back when I first had this problem, in September.  It fixed the problem after I upgraded to iOS 7 and stayed working though I did the 7.0.2 and 7.0.3 upgrades too:

    http://overdriveblogs.com/library/2013/09/19/overdrive-media-console-ios-7-crash -resolutions/

(and read the associated help article, link is in the above page)

    Hope that helps.
