iWork free for iPhone 5s

I can't seem to get iWork free on my phone. I got my 5s the day it came out, but was never promted about getting it for free. I heard about it from someone and went hunting down the apps, but I still need to pay. Thinking that was wrong, I just reset my phone and found the apps again. This time it says they're free, but it won't let me download them. Either just loads the load button then goes back to saying "FREE" or downloads part of it, stops, and says the download cannot finish. I did buy my iPhone 5s brand new, but my Apple ID is not new....I upgraded from the iPhone 4. Do I have to create a whole new Apple ID to get the apps? Because I don't want to have to do that since I have some paid apps on my phone.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.3

This should work:

Go to the App Store on your iPhone which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

If not, I suggest making a Genius Bar appointment & have them check it out.

Do you have other iOS devices eg iPad? If you have sign in with the Apple ID that is used to install the iWork apps on your 5S. Then check if those apps are in the purchased section in the App Store. If they are then you should be able to download it on your other iOS devices and also your 5S. If it can't be downloaded on your 5S just do a restore via iTunes it should now work
