I can't stand the look and feel of ios7. I wish I had of done my homework and previewed it first. I'll never update again just assuming I'll like the upgrades. Can't even stand my iphone now.

that's not the point. The point is that I purcahsed they're product because I liked the look and feel. Now they are copying android so they can get new customers, but in t he process they've ****** of many of their current ones.

Whining & moaning here will get you exactly nowhere.

This is a user ti user forum and we can do nothing to help.

For starters, it's not "whining & moaning". It's called "feedback", and enough people give apple the proper feedback, they may adjust accordingly on their next update.

This is not the correct place to give feedback to Apple, hence the reason it is whining & moaning

Apple does not monitor these forums for feedback

Yeah, because many people who are unable to use ios 7 are selling their new phones with ios 7 and buying older models with ios 6!

The man has every right to state his opinion. He made his purchase with an understanding of one user experience, and suddenly he has a completely different one. It shouldn't have been a matter if naivety that he opted for the so-called upgrade. And it would be silly if Apple didn't study eBay was being discussed on their forums.

Well I was quick to judge and lesson learned. I don't think I would roll back to iOS 6 even if I could. There are a couple little things like landscape view in Safari is kind of difficult with the pop up header/footer navigation because there doesn't seem to be enough room for it to not get in the way. I still don't totally agree with apples policy about rolling back. I probably would roll back my iPod 4G to iOS 5 because it's too slow for iOS 6 and is a little frustrating to use as it struggles to handle even simple things.

But I shouldn't have been so quick to judge iOS 7. It's been smooth on my iPhone 5 and many of the new features are nice. There's a lot of little thing I've come to appreciate like swiping to navigate in safari. That's just an example that comes to mind, but there are many things that are improvements.

I at least wanted to follow up as there's really no reason to give apple a bad rap over iOS 7. I'm sure this is a learning experience for apple also and will continue to improve on some if the issues including some of the visuals that are difficult.

Perhaps if we discontinued calling people "whiners" and recognized that their opinions are as vaild as anyone else-s - our own included?

People are warming to iOS 7, bc that is their "new normal". Any of us would evetually adapt to becoming unemployed, or getting a new job, or being in a trainwreck and losing a limb, or winning the lottery.

But I only know a handful of folks - a minority - who have had a love at first sight expereince with it, which is very different from the relationship people had with previous generations.

Apple also has a HUMONGOUS user base - and every single person in that base will have a unique opinion.

Each and every one of which is valid.

You miss the point completely.  This forum is not for expressing "opinions" about anything that doesn't involve helping someone with a question.  It is strictly for technical support questions and technical support answers.  The OP had one, and was answered by the 3rd post on page one.

EVERYTHING SINCE has been off topic and in violation of the forum ToU.  NOT valid here....

Had you posted that earler in this thread, before some of the hard core trolls and shills gave up, you would quickly be called a "tool," "fanboy," or "toady,"

It's true that some people like iOS7, or at least I am giving Apple the benefit of the doubt about that. I've never met anyone in person who likes it. The guy at the Apple Store said they've never had a product as controversial as this one.

iOS7 and the new iWorks downdate have brought Apple bad feelings, dissatisfaction, and loss of business. Even though there are people who like them, from a business standpoint, they are disasters. This is Apple's New Coke.

Perhaps. But that works both ways. Seems as if some of the seasoned veterans on this forum are so quick to point out the rules of this forum and can also be very rude in some of their responses. I understand its easy to become what appears defensive dealing with "troll" types. I don't participate in this forum that much. But on another companies forum I do quite a bit and understand both sides. Perhaps this forum is strictly for technical support by users supporting users, but there's always room for discussions and varying points of view. Leaving moderation up to the moderators is better then a bunch of regulars jumping on people for what they perceive as not following the forum rules IMO anyways.

How so?  New iPhone sales with iOS 7 and updated iWorks are selling at record levels.

iWorks for OS X did lose some power features to make it compatible with iOS and iCloud iWorks.  Can't say that was a great idea, but the new software is free, and Apple has relegated business and power users to MS Office for a long time...
