Huge Time Machine backup after crash?

As usual, I logged out of my acct on my MacBook Pro last night before I put it to sleep. When I opened it up this morning, I discovered that the machine had shut down at some point during the night. After starting it up, it told me that it had shut down due to some problem. Everything seems to be working fine, but my first Time Machine backup of the day to a Time Capsule is now backing up 156GB!

Has anyone seen this before? What this heck does it think it needs to backup? Should I be concerned? Is there a way to tell what it is backing up during the backup (which is going to take some time!)?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9)
