Q: Mavericks finder keeps relaunching over and over again

After I update to new MAX OS X Mavericks ,I get the problem. But when I booting into safe mode , It be OK.

what problem with my finder?

I have try many way to fix it , such as delete all .DS_store, But it did not work.

Please help.

Oh thanks for you all. I fixed it!!!!

I am not installed Google Driver, but I had installed Kanbox witch a application same as Google Driver.

I fixed it by remove Kanbox files in /Library/Application Support.

Apparently, there's a conflict between the finder's preferences and some 3rd-party one. Step one is to log into a newly created admin user account and see if the problem persists.

Try relaunching the Finder > Relaunch Finder… from the Mac OS X Finder

It ok now, I did nothing on it! I think may be you are right. this is the only reason I can believe. May be the 3rd-party application which crach the Finder has crached. But I not find witch one it is.

Now I afraid to restart my mac. If I do it, maybe the problem come out again.

I have try it. When I log into with the new admin user account, it be worse, I had to press the power button to restart my mac pro.

And saddly, now, my finder keeps restart again .....

So, what's the problem with my max os.

Then, the problem's system-wide. That implies booting into recovery mode and reinstalling the OS.

Reinstalling only replaces OS components and basic Apple apps such as TextEdit, Mail, and Safari.

OK, but I have tried to reinstalling the OS in AppStore. What the different with reinstalling in recovery mode.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Finder is bombing out about every 2 minutes.

OS is completely unstable. Must be some 3rd party app causing it, but who has time to track this stuff down.. its a Mac, shouldn't it just work?

Edit: found in another thread.. its Google Drive causing this. I closed it out and it stopped crashing the finder.

Silly do no evil Google.

Did you uninstall Google Drive, or just shut it down?
