Have exactly the same problem, man. It really bothers me because all I care about is music and now I can't sync it, anyone knows when iOS 7.0.4 is gonna be released?

Think I've stumbled across the solution by accident. I was getting incredibly frustrated after trying to sync my phone and was going to restore it... iTunes said I needed to turn off 'find my phone' (in my phone settings) prior to restoring so I turned it off and voila - all of a sudden my music synced without restoring anything. Phew! Apple really need to sort this out though - it's a complete shambles!

When you get the never-ending "Finishing Sync"

    - click on iPhone under Devices in the left sidebar.

    - click on "Sync" in the bottom right (again).

It will re-sync quickly without the never-ending "Finishing Sync."

    Works for me.

I came here hoping there was a solution that didn't require that extra step. Will be waiting a little longer.

Whoops! Sorry - well - it was an easy try.

Still works for me - hope that continues, although it would be better if it didn't happen at all.

If it stops working for me, I'll be back to see if another solution works.

    Best luck . . .

So, I tried turning off "find my phone" as Larry mentioned above. That seemed to do the trick for me, but what a stupid pain in the ***. Ugh. Apple at it again. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't even want to know why turning off your phone's location would somehow have anything to do with syncing your phone thru itunes. I think I really have grown to despise what they've done to iTunes. Yuk. Be that as it may, thanks Larry.

I have the same issue and discovered the same "fix." I've tried the "Sync after sync" and the "Eject while finishing sync". Both work as long as the spinning arrows icon disappears from the iPhone and from iTunes. It's more "weird" than annoying, IMO, but that's about it. Hopefully, whatever little bit of code that got omitted during the rush to get iOS 7, iTunes and Mavericks out the door in relatively short order will get put back in the next version.

When I reach the "sync of no return" and the sync button is no longer grayed out, I hit sync again.  The process starts over but finishes quicker (nothing to sync) and the syncing process comes to an end. Then I can safely eject my iPhone. Take note Apple and add this to this list of fixes for the next update.

Do the spinning arrows on your phone that indicate a sync is in progress go away?
