Oct 27, 2013 11:25 AM in response to eslaveby typographer,I tried both the Create a new network location procedure, and the whole backup, wipe, setup as new, restore from backup process (after restarting the Mac Pro, the phone, toggling iTunes wifi sync on and off, restarting everything again...)
I still can't get wifi sync to work since upgrading to Mavericks.
The really irritating part is that I had just gone through a process like this a week before when I upgraded to the iPhone 5s in order to get wifi synching working under Moutain Lion!

Oct 27, 2013 3:53 PM in response to Franimalby Retty,Worked on the first sync Fanimal?
Did you find code in Mavericks that was not released by Apple?
If so make sure you submit a bug report to www.android.com

Oct 27, 2013 9:17 PM in response to Rettyby Franimal,I stayed away from Mavericks due to the fact IOS 7 is aweful. Have 10.8.5 and the new lousy iTunes 11.1.2 and my iPod 5 no longer syncs properly if at all. My ol' trust 80gb iPod does just fine though. ALL the problems that IOS 7 does in fact have has never made it to iTunes until the iTunes update. THEN IT ALL HIT THE FAN!! Can never sync properly no matter what I've tried, and I've had Apple products for many years. It's a bug and they simply need to hurry up and fix it - for ALL our sakes!

Oct 27, 2013 9:28 PM in response to explorzby Mr. Flea,I had the same problem. Also couldn't wifi syn 1password. Saw a suggestion of changing IP address on iphone to STATIC. http://iphone.namitkarlekar.com/2009/05/fixing-your-iphones-ip-on-wifi-network.h tml. So far this seems to have done the trick.

Oct 28, 2013 6:40 PM in response to explorzby Franimal,Downloaded Mavericks. More crap, more headache. FINALLY downloaded my music, but now cannot download more. Same amount of songs as before on my 60gb iPod 5, 9800. When done it said 8.55gb space left. NOW if I try to sync to change ANYTHING, "OTHER" jumps up to 18.85gb and says no room left. Tried deleting everything, cleared out iPod twice, still a mess.
I MISS THE DAYS BEFORE IOS 7 and updated iTUNES RUINED MY MAC AND iPOD-5!!!!!!

Oct 28, 2013 6:45 PM in response to Franimalby _jackflash_,I've just managed to get mine to work again by enabling/disabling the multicast on my router. Let's see for how long this works.
Definitely between mavericks, iOS and iTunes something went wrong with the wifi syncing. It's just behaving erroneously.

Oct 29, 2013 8:02 AM in response to Franimalby Franimal,After days of rebooting, etc, finally back to working. HAD to turn on iCloud, restore several times, etc. Most trouble I've ever had with my iMac/iPod, Wow. Thanks to everyone for the many suggestions.

Oct 29, 2013 8:58 AM in response to explorzby RickPeeples,Same problem, devices not showing up as available to sync via WiFi. USB sync works fine. Tried rebooting everything, no joy. Whether it's germain to the discussion or not, iCloud syncing is enabled.

Oct 29, 2013 9:08 AM in response to David Cherby EA,Even with the cable, if your contacts and calendars (ie. things that used to be under the "Info" tab in itunes) are stored locally (i.e. not in iCloud), those things cannot be synced at all.
David Cher wrote:
same here . so we need to sync to icloud now unless we are using the cable ?

Oct 29, 2013 10:56 AM in response to explorzby _jackflash_,The wifi sync is definitely fubar. I've tried endless tricks (some mentioned here) already and with some of them i managed to get it working but only for a short period. After a while it disapears again and wifi sync stops working.
The only way i can get it to constantly work is if i use an airport. And even so it disapears aswell after a while. The diference is with the airport i press wifi sync on the iPhone and the device appears again in iTunes
Still this's completely random and i still can't identify a patern. I can only hope that Apple eventualy get this sorted in a future update.
