How were you able to revert back to IOS 6??

    I have AppleCare.

I made an appointment to go to my local Apple store (where I have a good relationship, due to buying so much gear), and told them what was going on. THEY WERE GENEROUS - they had a "new" (new can mean exactly that, or that a bunch of parts that were fine were salvaged from other phones - bottom line, it was shiny, scracth-free, and it works just fine) iPhone 5 in the back which still had iOS 6 installed. We erased my "current" phone, and - voila! - I was back on 6.

If you have AppleCare, it's totally worth giving it a shot. Sooner rather than later. To be frank, your best tactic might be to say that the phone is having problems, you need a replacement, and, if possible, is there a phone with iOS 6 still on it?

    Can't hurt to try.

(and btw, that is just one more example why I ALWAYS buy AppleCare - one of the few warranties out there where you can really get your money's worth - through phone support, etc.)

Thanks so much. My phone is still under warranty as well as my ipad. I will make an appointment right away with the local apple store. Its not like I woukdnt be lying my phones speaker is having issues. So am keeping fingers crossed. The only issue is that I fear is if I plug it into my iTunes on my computer it will load it back to Ios 7 or maybe it wont?

Good question. I doon't think so. You do have to do the whole "I agree" bit for the software to commence downloading. I did a backup (essentially, for me, that was simply throwing all my photos onto the computer - there'l be a record of all your app purchases on your itunes account) before I went to the store, and the reloaidng of the apps was done right then and there.

Be forthright with them. Tell them that you're having issues with the design and are experiencing migraines or difficulties where you never had them in 6 (like me) They'll get you, and I think there have been enough people with issues that they're prepared for this kind of inevitablity. Apple is good like that.

So yeah, I've continued to charge my phone in my iMac (and put my new pics in my iPhoto library) with no undesired upgrades or anything. But some of the other folk on here can give you a more assertive and authoritative answer, but I think you're good to go so long if you get the replacement phone.

7.0.3. totally fixed any dizziness/nausea I experienced. Super gateful they allowed disabling the zooming.

I'm wondering the same thing. I understand that the zooming effect was causing people to get motion sickness but it was not a problem to me. The thing is that I love the zooming effect but very much dislike the parallax effect on the lock screen. I hope the next update gives you the option to keep the zooming effect without the parallax effect on the lock screen.

Another satisfied customer here. Much more comfortable to use with the simple fade.

Still not thrilled with the flat white and thin text -- the previous visuals always felt "perfect" to me -- but I am greatful that this wish has been granted.

I agree. It's almost freaky how immediate the nausea gets me in the non-reduce motion mode, but how completely NORMAL I feel with the update.

I also agree re: the white text. Black is much, much better. I'm still on iOS 6 for now simply bc of the glaring colors of 7 (especially the thin, white text), but I COULD upgrade now (whereas before the fix, 7 was just not an option).

I feel the same way, El Sabio!  I am glad that Apple is responding to those who get motion sickness, but for those of us who don't, it is now all or nothing. I have submitted feedback to Apple suggesting they include toggles for both parallax AND animation. You should too!

Here's to hoping they include this in 7.0.4!

I have 7.0.4 on ipad 2 and reducing this nightmarish effect doesn't work. I made the mistake of upgrading two days ago and I'm upset because I've tried everything and I'm still getting dizzy because there's no way of switching the zooming, etc off. It isn't just the parallax effect.

I suppose I'm one of the five people around the world who is suffering iOS 7 instead of enjoying it. Reducing isn't switching off unnecessary effects, I love them but I just can't have them. I never suffered when I used iOS 6 or Mac OS. What should I do if I can't afford to buy another iPad, iPhone or MacBook? I trusted apple to provide a solution to this sickness problem in their updates (I read that they had and people were thankful about it) and that's why I stupidly upgraded the system.

I really hope Apple solves this problem in the coming upgrades because I've been a loyal client for many years (long before iPod's) and I have always looked forward to using their new OS except this time it backfired on me.

Since I upgraded to IOS 7, I can't get any work done because my cat is constantly attacking the phone. I've tried "Reduce Motion", but this just makes my cat sneak up more quietly. Then, when he finally pounces on it, I **** my pants.
