Q: An error of type -14000

I am trying to connect to our server with workgroup manager 10.7.2 but keep getting the following erro;

An error of type -14000

 

What does this mean and how do I fix it???

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

    I have this same problem. I just completed a migration from server 10.5.8 to 10.7.2. I followed the steps in the Lion migration manual. After loading the open directory, I can see all the accounts local on the server, but Workgroup Manager won't allow me to connect. I get a -14000 error.

     

    I can't find out what this means, or where to find help how to fix it.

     

    Everything else about the Lion server and Open Directory seems to be working fine. Can someone from Apple weigh in on this?

    Same on one of my Macs.

    I have had this issue today and resolved quickly by using the IP address of the server rather than the HostName.  Connects immediately now without the error.
