Q: LED cinema display wire bundle causes "Because a USB device was drawing too much power from your computer, one or more of your USB devices have been disabled." message. Anyone else get this, in combination with the intermittent black screen flicker?
I am using a LED cinema display and when I plug the laptop charger/mini display port in I only get an intermittent black screen which appears to be the display flicking off for a fraction of a second... when I plug in the USB I get the dialog box that says:
"Because a USB device was drawing too much power from your computer, one or more of your USB devices have been disabled. To prevent damaging your computer, the USB device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices may have also been disabled. When you disconnect the device drawing too much power, your other USB devices will be enabled again."
An intermittent time after start up, I get the screen flickering black, also at an intermittant interval. It doesn't seem to affect typing since what I continue to type still appears on the screen, but the display is definately wonkified. I've tried minimum resolution, maximum, tried ambient tempurature differences and still there seems to be this problem,
I am beginning to suspect the bundled cable to be the problem!
