Contract free does not mean unlocked.

As ou've already been told, "contract free" does NOT necessarily mean unlocked.
Just buy it in Argentina from an authorized source when it becomes available there. If you buy one in a different country, you will have no warranty.

The T-Mobil iphone 5s does not work overseas. I'v recently tried it in India and it does not support. You have to manually get it unlocked from T-Mobil which is also possible only after a minimum of 50$ charge and 40 days of use.
The unlocked 5s is yet to be released. The 5c how ever is out. And the difference can be clearly seen in the options on the apple website.

Apple does not sell UNLOCKED iPhone 5s from their website they are contract-free which is a very different thing.
I called Apple and they never said that the phone is unlocked or will work with other carriers. They told me to call T-mobile. The text pasted by FeliveV is not clear to say the least. Apple was very clear to me when they say that the phone is not UNLOCKED and that to UNLOCK it I should contact T-mobile to get more details.
T-mobile just sent me to their terms & conditions to unlock the phone which includes the condition to be activated during at least 40days.
The only way to know for sure is if somebody purchased and tried and I am not going to be the first. I prefer to buy an UNLOCKED S4 or Sony instead of try my chances with Apple and/or TMobile.

I bought my 5S from Apple few weeks back which was contract free but had a T-Mobile SIM. I was able to use another service provider's SIM without any hassle. I did not call T-Mobile for any assistance.
