Oct 25, 2013 1:21 PM in response to baymuby baymu,I have managed to fix this.
Performing a restore made no difference, so i eventually removed all my email accounts, then added them back one by one,
This has resolved the issue.

Oct 29, 2013 9:31 AM in response to baymuby Gwydion92,I'm having the same problem, although doesn't seem like many others are based on results of my searches on google and in various forums. I have eight email accounts on iPad, so was hoping to avoid removing all and reinstalling one by one. Tried removing and reinstalling one account as a test, but it made no difference. Guess I'll try the full Monty, but not happy about it. Apple's native apps should just work properly.

Oct 29, 2013 11:32 AM in response to baymuby pacov2,Thanks. How long ago did you do this and have it lasted? Kinda weird that deleting those accounts and adding will solve the issue. Seems more of a software issue/bug. And the problem is that there isn't any apps that work with exchange.

There have been reported instances of email providers not having adjusted their server setups to accomodate the changes in iOS 7, even though they've been aware of them for a while.
It's like your car making a knocking sound... because the gasoline is impure. Is that the auto manufacturer's fault?
There are also other basic troubleshooting steps you can try, before jumping to the 'Full Monty'. What troubleshooting steps have you tried? What research have you done?

Oct 29, 2013 12:17 PM in response to baymuby pacov2,This really annoying since I get on average of 600-900 emails daily and this problem is driving me nuts. Looking to purchase an app that can replace native e-mail app. I have restored my iphone already but the issue continues. Anyone with suggestions?

Oct 29, 2013 1:27 PM in response to TJBUSMC1973by Gwydion92,Well, perhaps you're right -- but I have eight email accounts with five different email service providers, and the same problem exists with all eight accounts. I've tried to research this problem with basic internet searches, and this forum is the only thing I could find on point. If you have links to the "reported instances" you mention, I'd be grateful if you'd share them so I could research further. If you can provide more detail re "basic troubleshooting steps" I'd also be grateful. At this point, all it can do is confirm that my email settings on my iPad 2 using iOS 7 are identical to those on my iPhone 5 (which is still on iOS 6 and functioning fine), and I've done that.

Oct 29, 2013 1:27 PM in response to pacov2by baymu,It was driving me properly mental as I had 5 email accounts including an icloud one on the phone with several emails a day. Problem was present on all accounts so I think it was an issue with the mail app rather than anything else.
So far problem hasn't come back, so that's a good thing, but having to vape and redo the accounts was a pain.

Oct 29, 2013 1:29 PM in response to Gwydion92by baymu,I only had the problem on my iPhone which I updated. iPad still on iOS 6 and mail has worked fine on that all along.

Oct 29, 2013 1:31 PM in response to TJBUSMC1973by Gwydion92,Incidentally one of the email providers I use is Apple. I have the same problem with emails in my Apple account. So yeah, if the native mail app in iOS 7 doesn't work properly with Apple's email service, I think I'm going to go ahead and blame Apple.

Oct 29, 2013 7:28 PM in response to baymuby pacov2,Not only does it when trying to select multiple emails but also when you swipe from left to to right to "trash" the e-mail or select the "more" options. I have been looking to to use a third party app for the time being but there really isn't anything out there that works smoothly with exchange.

Oct 31, 2013 10:18 AM in response to baymuby Gwydion92,For anyone still tracking this issue, I tried baymu's suggestion of deleting all email accounts and adding them back one at a time. Unfortunately, it didn't make a difference for me. Both before and after taking that step, I was finding that the mail app functioned properly about 10% of the time, and the other 90% I was having the same problem as baymu -- when I selected multiple emails (whether to move, delete, flag, or whatever) the radio button adjacent to each of the selected emails would stay filled for only a couple of seconds. During this time, the options at the bottom of the left column (Mark All, Move, and Delete) were active and showing in blue font. After a couple of seconds, the radio buttons would no longer show the previosuly selected emails as selected, and the Move and Delete options at the bottom were inactive (i.e., in gray font).can suggest somethi
I haven't been able to identify any common characteristics for the 10% of the time it works properly or the 90% of the time it doesn't, so I'm now stumped. Unless anyone else can mmake a suggestion, I'm stumped -- will just have to deal with actions on multiple emails on my iPhone, which I have not yet upgraded to iOS 7.
Suggestions??

Nov 9, 2013 11:37 AM in response to Gwydion92by Jay_F,I just started experiencing (or at least noticing) this problem yesterday! Extremely annoying!
I'm on a new iPhone 5S with the latest 7.0.3 update. I've also tried to delete and re-setup one of my several email accounts with no avail. I've even had to reset my phone (another problem) and that didn't even fix it. It's definitely software related but I'm not sure why it's not happening for everyone else.
Is there an official way to report this issue to Apple?

Nov 9, 2013 12:40 PM in response to Jay_Fby Gwydion92,Jay,
I wish I knew if there was a way to officially log this issue with Apple, although in my limited experience that doesn't mean Apple would be at all responsive. Especially since not many people seem to be reporting this problem in the forums, I doubt it's a high priority for Apple.

Nov 13, 2013 12:57 AM in response to Gwydion92by Jay_F,Just wanted to report back that after a few days, the problem "mysteriously" went away! I had to reboot my phone a few times for other reasons. I suspect one of those reboots may have fixed it? FWIW, I did the "hold power + home button past Apple logo disappearing" reboot.
