Oct 30, 2013 5:55 PM in response to Chirtophorusby ZintainUSA,When you pressed the button twice....What happened? Did it turn off and then back on? If you press the power button it will just put your computer to sleep. You have to press and hold it for 1.5 seconds to get the power options menu. You can also press "Control + Eject" to bring up the power menu. Otherwise if your computer is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds will cause it to force shut down. If you have anything open when doing this though, any unsaved information will be lost.

Oct 30, 2013 7:54 PM in response to ZintainUSAby Chirtophorus,I talked with a specialist for an hour and I can make sure this is a bug of OS X Mavericks. I have tried some Macbook air 2013 Mid. They have the same response, the screen goes dark and only thing you can do is force it to shut down.
