Apr 27, 2014 3:39 AM in response to ronaldfromegelsbachby FromOZ,Could be a number of reasons - the error dialog messages are (obviously) not very helpful.
You should start by looking at the logs of your server in Server app choose
Server > Logs then from dropdown list at bottom of screen look at the System Log then all the logs in the 'Open Directory' group esp. the password logs.
Of course you should look at the logs directly after reproducing the error so you can see it current in the logs.
The logs should be able to give you further information as to what is happening and perhaps point you towards resolving.

Apr 27, 2014 12:18 PM in response to FromOZby jepping,Experienced the same issue in Server.app and WGM after I changed my DNS settings.
Did you change your DNS or hostname?
Even though my sudo changeip -checkhostname was ok, my server.app and ODmaster thought otherwise and kept generating errors like yours.
I ended up deleting my current ODmaster and resetting profilemanager and creating a new one, as this was just a testserver. Instead of fixing the error consider the changes you've made before this happened and if you've got a working backup
After I've setup my new ODmaster everything worked great and stable, no errors at all, because now DNS was functioning again.
So sorry, not really a great tip to get it working but this might involve some work to get it working again.
Goodluck
Jeffrey
