Q: Why won't my songs transfer from itunes to my iphone?

When I plug in my phone into my computer and try to sync my playlists on iTunes to my iPhone, the sync completes but the songs will not transfer.  I even tried deleting the existing playlists from my iPhone and I couldn't even do that.  I have literally tried everything that I know.  Any suggestions?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.2

Make sure there's enough storage space on the iPhone.

Tap Settings > General > About

    Then swipe down to:  Available

BTW, you are clicking the Sync button bottom right side of the window correct?

    Hi,

I get exactly the same problem.

I have checked that I have enough space on my iPhone but everytime I try to click and drake albums or playlists it shows as if it has sync'd but nothing appears to have transferred.

I have even rebooted my phone to see if identifies the new music but nothing has been copied.

I have even tried a sync but again the process goes through the motion but nothing transfers.

There are also no error message.

This has only started happening since I updated my iPhone to oS7.

    Can anyone help ?

    Carolyn -

Yes I am hitting the sync button.  Also, I have plenty of space on my iphone.  It is so weird because when I hit sync on itunes and I look on the summary page about my phone, where it shows how much space I am using for my app's, books, movies, music..., it shows the space needed to add the audio but when the sync is complete it disappears and doesn't show that the music is added.  I also do not get any error messages.

I feel like I have tried everying but I know there must be something I am missing!  I rebooted my phone, deleted all my backups in itunes, removed all the music from my phone by unchecking songs and then trying to add them (in this case only 1 playlist stayed on the phone), tried manually moving the songs from itunes into my iphone by dragging them.... I can't even remember what else I did.  Do you think if I went into the apple store they would help me?

I have that exact problem as well. Idk what I did wrong to deserve this, but seriously, it's not fun.

I'm hearing a sound from my laptop indicating I've received some sort of message, but I have no clue where it's coming from and that's the only kind of response I get everytime I sync. I've checked everything. Any idea as to where it's coming from?

Same exact problem here! I hope apple gets this fixed soon! I dont know what else to do, i have tried everything. I have plenty of space and they are showing under "on this phone" but are light grey with circles next to them and never transfer over.

I had exactly the same problem.

I fixed it by doing a complete factory restore (from the summary tab in itunes)  and then restored my data and music from the last back up.

After this the tracks  that was light grey with the circles next to them came across normally

I am having this same problem, it is so frustrating and only began happening after the most recent iphone update. I hope Apple get back to us with a fix or something soon, i'm not happy at all, we shouldn't have to resort to restoring factory settings every time there is a problem!

Same problem, plenty of space. Started after I updated to 7. Very frustrating.

And, Siri thinks my new music has been transferred to my iPhone. She is looking for it and gets stuck.

I won't be buying any more iTunes until this is corrected.

Same problem here. IPhone 4S iOS 7.0.3. Some of the music that I purchased originally on my phone and listened to many times will even become unavailable too after syncing. Very frustrating!!!

I think I figured it out... It worked for me! Its kind of annoying but you have to turn off passcode lock on your phone. Then delete all your music from phone. Then go to "Music" on "(Your name) iPhone" Then click "Sync music" then check off either "Entire music library" or "Selected playlists... ext."

Hope this helps:P Hopefully they fix this problem soon so we don't have to use loop holes!
