Am setting up a new iPad Air from a previous backup (1st Generation iPad, running iOS5). According to iTunes, the data from the backup is on the new iPad; however, the iPad screen still shows the 'Connect to iTunes" screen and doesn't go any further in the set up process. Help!

iPad, iOS 7.0.3

Where you prompted that restore from back up was successful?

When connecting thw iPad to a computer with iTunes does it say the iPad is in recovery mode?

Are you connected to the computer?   (Not using wifi)

This is the only way iTunes can set up your iPad from a backup to the computer.

What happens when you press the home button? (may need to double tap)

Seems like your at the part in set up assistant where you chose to restore from iTunes back up. Press the home button and when you see the connect to iTunes screen press the home button again. This should give you an option to start over. Once you start over do your normal set up and try to restore from back up again

If this fails then set up the iPad as new and connect to your computer so you can manually restore from back up through iTunes.
