As soon as I upgraded to 7.0.3 on my iPad 2, I noticed that I was unable to connect WiFi.  I was in a hotel at the time, and all of sudden it couldn't find any shared Wifi.  When I got home, I discovered that it would only see the WiFi if I were literally sitting right next to the wireless router, and even then, it's super weak.

I have tried resetting Network Settings.  Is there anything else I can try?

I find it ironic that if this is a bug with Apple's 7.0.3, it will be reletively difficult for users to download an update that fixes it. since they can't connect very easily.

    Hi Ginodean,

This page might help you out, at least some steps you could look into.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398

Basically just has you check into some resets of settings, as you've done, or could be something with the networks them self.

A good test is to try and join other known good networks to see how they respond.

One thing you could do if all else fails is restore the device as new and test it.

If other devices connect to the wifi network just fine, may try and restart your router as well

Hope some of this info helps.

I tried everything just short of factory restore.  My other devices, including two iPhones, two Macs and an older iPad, connects just fine.  Something with this device for sure... the wifi is fine.

I am having the exact same problem.

My device has been replaced with a new one, still same issue. Everyone else's in the house seems to work. I don't know what is wrong with this new update? Why is this still happening? Has anyone found a solution? I have wasted so much time trying to solve this issue. I am getting so angry with apple why is this happening even though my device has been replaced? My router has been upgraded what is the actual problem?

    Try reset all settings

    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings

Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have already tried this. Still no luck. I do not think I have anymore options left to try other than wait for the new update which no one knows when it will be released.

Please let me know if there is anything else left to try

Troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues is not always a piece of cake.

Try this in-depth Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide:

get some ipad tools ready were going to have a adventure so buy some ipad opening tools then look online for wifi chips find one and order it then use your tools and open the ipad be careful wires can be connected to back of the ipad after that look for the wifi chip you will se a chip that says a7 on it do not touch it but if you have to bring it to apple beacuse that is what runs ios and firmware find the wifi chip and disconnect it then put the new wifi chip in this should help

the reason for your chip not working internally the ipad got to hot so do not ever charge with case on as this can ruin the lion battery and other parts

It is nothing to do with the wifi chip, it is the new update I have been assured this by apple. This is a problem with the new update

Good to know - I spent several hours on phone with Applecare and in an Apple Store trying to convince them that it's a problem with the software instead of them trying to sell me a used iPad for $250.  Love Apple products, but if Aplecare people don't even know what's going on with their products, there's a problem....

Did you already try to restore your iPad?

Tried factory restore twice - once at home, second time at Apple store with a "genius" present.

I was told it might be a problem with the wifi chip too however diagnostics found no problem with the chip. Also, they replaced my device anyway and I am still having this problem, have tried restoring, resetting all settings, anyone have anything else left to try? Apple have been left baffled as to how this is still happening on a brand new replacement device.

Then there is obviously a problem with your Wi-Fi router.
