Nov 4, 2013 11:32 AM in response to Linc Davisby Jlopez2013,From the 5 options on the top menu: Featured, Top Charts, Categories, Purchases and Updates, only works the 2 last ones with my user. When clicking on categories, I got the list of categories but when I click on any item, nothing happens. When clickin on Featured or Top Charts, nothing shows up.

Nov 4, 2013 12:19 PM in response to Jlopez2013by Linc Davis,First take the steps recommended in this support article. If there's no change, continue as follows.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Cookies/com.apple.appstore.cookies
Right-click or control-click the line and selectServices ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Relaunch the application and test. If there's no change, quit again and put the item you moved back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, delete the item you moved. If possible, restore it from a backup that predates the problem.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

Nov 11, 2013 7:45 PM in response to Linc Davisby Jlopez2013,Thanks, but doesn't work. Looking at the Activity Monitor it shows 2 App Store Web Content process not responding. I tested out with root user and it works. Any other idea?

Back up all data.
Quit the App Store application if it’s running. Wait at least 10 seconds before continuing.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Delete the following items from the Library folder (some may not exist):
- Caches/com.apple.appstore
- Caches/com.apple.storeagent
- Caches/storeagent
- Cookies/com.apple.appstore.cookies
- Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.appstore.plist
- Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.storeagent.plist
- Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
Leave the Library folder open. Try the App Store again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
Step 2
If you still have problems, quit again and wait 10 seconds. Go back to the Finder and move the following items from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
- Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist
- Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist

Nov 12, 2013 8:07 AM in response to Linc Davisby Jlopez2013,Actually, since I upgraded to Mavericks I was having a lot of issues with my account. Gotomeeting didn't save my credentials, iTunes didn't save the configuration, Apple Store didn't work properly, I couldn't drag & drop files nd so on. Everything worked fine with root user. I tend to think that the problem is with my account and I found this link to reset my home folder permissions at https://discussions.apple.com/message/22861032#22861032
and after following the instructions, everything works well now including the App store.
Anyway, many thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
