Flashing Desktop Icons

Help!

My desktop icons keep flashing intermittenly (frequency varies, it goes off then comes back on half a second later). Finder crashes every time this happens as well. This just happened today and I'm not sure why either.

I have seen suggestions that this is related to a particular "Stuffit AVR", but i cant seem to find it in my system preferences window.

I am using a MacBook Pro Retina with OS X10.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Been having the same problem as the rest of you. I repaired the disk permissions using the Disk Utility, and then quit Google Drive - its been about an hour now, and Finder hasn't crashed yet, and the desktop icons don't seem to be flashing any more.

Hoping that this is just a google drive problem, and that Apple and Google will play nice with each other to get it fixed.
