Q: apple wireless keyboard disappears since Mavericks install

Since installing Mavericks my Apple wireless keyboard disappears when the computer wakes from sleep.  The  only way to get it back is to reboot with no items plugged into USB ports.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

MIght be corrupted Bluetooth preferences ..

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.pllist

Click Go then move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.

Then follow the instructions here >  Bluetooth: How to set up your Apple Wireless Keyboard

    • Make sure the batteries are fresh in the keyboard and the keyboard is turned on.

Your instructions didn't work.  "file not found".  So I went to computer, my hard drive, "library",  "preferences".  I found the file there and put it in trash.  I was expecting to loose functionality of my keyboard/trackpad but they are both still there, a la this message.  The other day when this problem first started I removed the keyboard and reinstalled it.  Today I just rebooted with no USB devices installed and the keyboard came back.  I'll let you know if your solution works long term.
