Number files are actually zip file. If you review the link Google provides you will see there is a whole list of items you cannot send. The best way to share a document is to use a non-gmail email address or dropbox (or something like that)
Thanks, that's a bit of a bummer as I volunteer with a national UK charity and all our Branch Officers have web-published gmail adresses so that we do not have to reveal personal addresses to all and sundry. Using a non-gnail account presents "privacy" problems!
I had looked at the gmail list of prohibited attachemnts but I didn't see Numbers listed and didn't appreciate that they were zip files.
I presume that this is some sort of resut of the ongoing war between Google and Apple where innocent bystanders get caught in collateral damage!
I'll have to think of a way of getting MS-OfficeX working again as Numbers appears not to be able to do what I need as I often send several financial spreadsheets to my fellow Committee Members - maybe I'll try and reload Snow Leopard in Parallels or on an external drive and work from there!
Thanks for the heads-up.
