use disk utility to erase the unwanted partitiion, then drag or key in your Macintosh HD partition size.

    hope this help.

Try selecting the second, bottom, partition in the center area of Disk Utility, Partition Tab, and pressing the Minus ( - ) sign to delete it. Then click the Apply button, if needed. Then Drag the bottom right hand corner of the Top partition down to take up that unused space, then click Apply again.

If that second partition is for Windows, any version, you should not use Disk Utility to remove it. Use the Boot Camp Assistant program again to remove it and put the space back into the OS X partition.

Yes removing that partition will delete all data on it.

You never said it was a Windows partitioon in your first post. If you had I would of never suggested you use Disk Utility. Using Disk Utility is the wrong way to remove a Windows partition from a Mac.

How did the Windows Server version get put on your Mac?

In Applications, Utilities open Boot Camp and it should give you the option to remove the Windows partition.

    Sorry you lost me.

The partition you want to remove

IF it is a Mac OS X partition use Disk Utility like I described in one of my other replies.

IF it is a Windows partition that you created with the Boot Camp Assistant app to install a version of Windows then use the Boot Camp Assistant app again to remove it.

Boot Camp is for partitioning a Mac hard drive and starting the install of Windows. If you have a program that needs Windows to work then whether you use use a virtual machine software program or boot camp you still need to install windows so you can run that program.
