Hello, I have upgraded my macbook pro to the newest server system and I have experienced  difficulties with it. Per exemple, the settings of my Finder has been changed; it's no longer the same. Also, my internet browers (Safari, Chrome and Firefox) tend to bug, I can't scroll down with the pad so I have to use the arrows from my keyboard. The app Messages works good however when I want to imsg someone, it says that person is not registred in my iMessages but that person has an i Phone...

So, I don't know.

For sure, the upgrade takes time to be perfedctly functional and all. I do not know anything about computers, I only know how to use them. So, if there is anyone who can help me with this, I'll be forever grateful.

Thank you

    Hi TanyaCalu,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

If applications such as Finder are behaving unexpectedly after upgrading to Mavericks, there are a few steps that can help isolate or resolve the issue.

First, try booting your computer into safe mode:

Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564

Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455

If your applications are working normally in safe mode, this usually means OS X is fine, and the issue is caused by conflicting software in your user account.

Next, see if applications behave normally in a new user account. The steps in this article also apply to creating a new user in Mavericks:

OS X Mountain Lion: Create a new user account

    Best Regards,

    Jeremy
