Nov 7, 2013 12:24 AM in response to Copepodoby phill4845,Spoke to Apple if you go to settings, safari. Then clear the history and the cashe data. Exit settings.
Double tap the home button (to show all open apps running in the background) and close all apps open in the background by swiping up. Then reopen safari and should be back to normal.

Nov 9, 2013 6:09 AM in response to phill4845by igrant,Hi phill4845,
I too was having the issue where Safari was closing when I clicked on + with my ipad Air . I wasn't sure what to do but from past expereince with iphone and MBP issues thought I'd check here first. Again it was to be a fruitful few seconds as the answer was provided. Finally I'd like to say thanks , just shows there are mature people in forums who like to assist their fellow users instead of reverting to childish name calling , foul and often mispelt profanities .

Nov 27, 2013 6:43 AM in response to phill4845by hill8302,Hi phill4845,
I was also having the same problems. I just received my iPad mini RD and every time I clicked this + sign to add a new tab in Safari, the Safari app would crash. I did exactly what you said to do and viola...it works! Thanks for the advice. Other advice said that you had to wipe your ipad and introduce it as a new iPad rather than downloading it from the cloud or other devices, Your advice saved me a lot of time and headache. So THANK YOU!!!
