Glad I am not the only one with this problem

    Is it currently endemic?

I have the same problem.  As welll as the message about missing components - when I plug in the Ipad it wants me to restore it to factory settings and can't read it.

Furious and hate this Ipad, I don't own it - Apple does - and it is a source of frustration, not pleasure as it should be.  I am not free to add what I want I will never purchase Apple again.

In all the posts above I don't find one working solution.

Does anyone read these posts who can really sort out the problem.

    Worst thing I ever bought.

But any help would be appreciated.

Mine's not worked for 3 weeks and no one can tell me why.

Quiet why the issue should be my fault, when clearly its a software issue astounds me.

The new Itunes will not work. I've used it, without issue since 2006 until June this year. Since then it has been issue after issue after issue. It's abysmal and clearly Apple do not give two *****.

It's painful but a guaranteed way to fix your Windows installation is to uninstall iTunes, Quicktime, and the several other Apple installed components and then run the iTunes installer again.  You won't lose your library but it does take some effort, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923

One extra hitch may occur if you get an error when trying to uninstall using the Control Panel, e.g. it tells you that it's not installed even though it shows up in the Control Panel list, or if nothing happens when you press Uninstall or Repair.  When that occurs on my PCs, first try rebooting and then uninstall again.  Next download the free version of version of Advanced Uninstaller PRO 11 (http://www.advanceduninstaller.com/) and let it run its extra "scan & remove leftovers" steps after uninstalling each Apple software component, reboot, and uninstall again.  This worked for me just last night... :-)

    Nope.

No situation here works at all.

Until the update in August, my I-tunes has worked perfectly well on over 6 devices for 6 years.

Now, it will not accept my phone, depsite it predating the updates in August. Until then, it worked absolutely fine. Now it says my I-phone doesn't have an upto date version of I-Tunes, so it won't recognise it.

So I download the update, which crashes and asks me to restart the download as my phone isn't upto date.

This goes on and on and on.

Now I'm sorry if i seem annoyed but I do not understand why I have to do anything when everything worked fine until August.

I can download podcasts, but no music. I can use every other feature on my phone except I-Tunes.

Help guys, surely someone knows how to fix this situation.

    I'd tried most of the stuff in this thread and got it finally to work by;

    1. Uninstalling, for the fifth time, and

    2. right-clicked the iTunes64Setup.exe and chose "run as Administrator".

Hope it work for you and that Apple update soon.

Thx. I have the same "challenge" and I will try to solve the issue with your solution.

There is an information about this within the support pages, but I guess such a commodity entertainment product like I-Tunes requires an easier solution. Not everyone is an IT-expert.
