I have recently had to restore my iPhone 5, and my password has changed from and 8 figure alphanumeric password (before restore) to letters. I have tried disabling and remaking my password but cannot disable it for some reason. How do i change it back to alphanumerics?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.3

You want a 4-digit passcode or an alphanumerical one?    You weren't very clear.

Go to Settings - Passcode Lock -  Simple Passcode ON would give you the 4-digit one.   Off would give you alphanumerical.

If you have a corporate exchange account on your phone that may be why you can't change it.
