So every time I try and order an IPHOTO book it freezes after it "assembles"- while it's uploading the photos OR it uploads all the photos and right at the end it says "Click Retry to upload the failed asset again or Cancel Order to cancel your Order. What would you like to do?" - I've retried like 3 times.

So I was had OS X 10.5, bought snow leapord, upgraded to Mavericks, bought IPHOTO 11, then had to get the photo upgrader so I did.

The PHOTO book was created when I had the old version of IPHOTO so I spent all last night redoing the whole book  (as in creating a new book and replacing the photos) and it is still not working.

I've made sure the I have the correct country & everything I just have no idea what to do at this point. There are no errors popping up in the book.

Can anyone help?

I have the same problem!  I have tried uploading my photo book all day.

I also have had issues with IPhoto handling very cumbersome, slow and freezing since upgrading to Mavericks.

I am having the same issue. I'm running OS X 10.8. It seems to assemble the book but never goes past 10 of 52 pages. But then gets to assembly complete and then freezes and wont allow me to even cancel the order. Have to do a hard shut down to get out.

Boot into Safe Mode,  Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and create a PDF preview file of your book according to this Apple document:  iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture

Be sure to proof read the PDF file for any errors, i.e. typos, photos or fonts not appearing, etc,  before ordering.  Once you're satisfied that there are no errors order your book while in Safe Mode.  Keep the PDF file for comparison to the printed copy when you receive it.

    If that fails to do the job try the following;

    1. Quit iPhoto.
    2. From the Finder menu bar, choose Go > Utilities to access your Utilities folder (or press Shift-Command-U).
    3. In your Utilities folder, open Keychain Access.
    4. Find the "NetServices" entry in your Keychain Access window. KANetServices.png
    5. Select the "NetServices" entry and press the delete key.
    6. Reopen iPhoto and attempt to place your order again.
    7. You should be prompted to enter your account information if you deleted the Keychain entry successfully.
    8. After entering your account information, you should be able to complete your order.

Followed first set of instructions and was unsuccessful. When I tried to create a PDF copy of the book it opened 2 assembly windows. I closed one but could not close the other. The computer was frozen and would not close in the normal manners. I then tried the second suggestion and when I tried to purchase the book the original issue arose. The assembly never went past page 1 of 52 but the assembly continued and then froze the computer at the upload stage. Other issue when in Safe Mode was that the screen seemed to "roll" from the bottom up many times before the page would establish itself. In fact when I went to safari page and then to hot mail the page would not stop "rollin.

I've tried everything suggested - no help. I can't load my book either! My book assembles and uploads fully but then quickly tells me there was an error and I have to cancel or try again. I've tried it several times.

    Try the following:

1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.

2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1 if needed.

This did not help - I got the same error message. Failed to upload - says to hit cancel or retry.

I also have tried absolutely everything! (Re-booting, rebooting in safe mode, Photo Library first aid, etc). I get to Assembly completed and then when I try updating to Store it either freezes or I get the following error message:  "An error occurred uploading your order.  Cleck retry to upload the failed asset again of cancel order to cancel your order.  What would you like to do?"

    Try this potential solution:

Tried that, but "NetServices" does not show up in Keychain Access window.

Is your Mac a laptop that you can take to another location where you can connect to the internet and try from there?
