Is it possible to only have Aperture 3 display exposures during tethered shooting (with 5DMKIII)?

That's ALL I want to accomplish if anyone has a tip on settings, thanks.

Could you rephrase the question, it is difficult to understand as it is written.

Aperture does not do live display while tetered. It only displays the image after it is taken by the camera and imported, If that helps you?

The only thing I want to have happen is the image displays on the laptop screen subsequent to exposures being made. That's it. I just want a method for monitoring images.

Not possible,  Aperture's tethered shooting does not do live preview.

Once the image is exposed in the camera it is transferred to Aperture and imported.

I don't want "live preview." I want the image to display on the laptop screen (as it already does) after exposure is taken (for review). Right now, when tethered, Aperture is preventing files from being written to the CF card in the camera (which I definitely don't want), and I would really just love a full screen display after each image is captured if it's at all possible.

Once the image is downloaded from the camera into Aperture it will appear as any imported image does.

Are you sure your camera is supported?

You have no control over that behavior. It's the way Aperture works when you are shooting tethered.

If I understand your question, it sounds like you are trying to use Aperture as a replacement/supplement for the LCD on the back of your camera. If so, is there a HDMI output on your 5DMKIII? Maybe you could attach that output to a monitor as a solution.

Message was edited to add question about HDMI.
