Q: Imovie 10 does not see my Itunes Labrary

Itunes library will be visible when you define a project, and in project editingmode It's on the left colomn bottem-site just after transitions, titles and maps, so not at the top of the same column where you will see the Photo-library, Events, Projects et.

I will try to explain:

a. click your "projects mis à jour"->double click a project, it wil open in the under half of your iMovie window, now look not at the top but at the bottem of the left column.

b. select an event, make a new project, ad some footage, again at the left column down left you will see possibilities to ad transitions, titles, but also to access your iTunes library.

My response just crossed your 2nd message.

It's quite different in iMovie10 compared to  iMovie 9.0.9.

Some functions will appear only after you start up some specific activities, like projects or adjust clips etc. Whereas in the previous version some where always accesible

Hi,

I do see the iTunes button in the lower left corner between maps and sound effects, but when I click on it the content of my iTunes library does not appear, the window remains empty.

Can anyone help?

P.S. I'm using iMovie 10, iTunes 12 and Yosemite (<- which may be the problem!?)

I'm having the exact same issue - am also using iMovie 10, iTunes 12 and Yosemite... I'm gonna report it as a bug in the Yosemite Feedback assistent, but still there may be a solution from someone?

Well - the problem seems to be solved. Over the night came update to iMovie and iTunes. The iTunes music now shows just as it's supposed to, for me ;-)

I was having the same issue running iMovie 10.0.5 on Yosemite.  I have just downloaded an update (10.0.6) from the App store and it has fixed it!

However when I downloaded the 10.0.6 update...it didn't fix the problem...

I had the same problem.  It's most likely because iTunes was not on, so when you opened iMovie your iTunes account was not available to be read by iMovie. 

The Fix: Start up iTunes, then restart iMovie.  I'm very confident that you will now see it available.
