Oct 19, 2013 1:55 AM in response to gurpleby DopeyDupe,Really late and unrelated but I believe that's not the case since Apple has had the habit of compiling for multiple architectures for a darned long time now (I believe since leopard they were already ready to shift most of their kernel over to 64 bit)

Nov 10, 2013 12:16 PM in response to fab11by HarryFish,Thank you very much, this information helped me a lot.
By the way, I have an other issue:
On my iPhone(4GS, v6.1.3) the flagged emails in subfolders do not appear in the flagged folder.
http://discussions.apple.com/thread/4683909
Do you by chance know if this behaviour can be changed so that all flagged mails will show up?
Thanks again

Cdhtnt's 'fix' of "RESET NETWORK SETTINGS on your iphone" actually 'works' by REMOVING the USB option completely and forcing you to use thw Wi-Fi option.. not the soution most people are looking for!

Dec 18, 2013 6:56 AM in response to DopeyDupeby M1HG,I'm really ready to try this solution but every time I try to download the file I get this message:
“AppleUSBEthernetHost” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
Any suggestions on how I can get around this and proceed with the fix?
Really appreciate the help. Debugging my Mac has become a second career.

Dec 18, 2013 1:02 PM in response to M1HGby jypsilantis,Hi M1HG. You have run into a a safety feature of OSX. If you go to System Preferences>Security and Privacy, then select the General tab, you can temporarily or permanently allow the program to be opened on your Mac. With Mavericks, if you do this immediately after attempting to run AppleUSBEthernetHost, then it will appear explicitly under the General tab, with a button containing available security options that you may use.
Having said this, it goes without saying that you should exercise appropriate caution in general, in regard to allowing "unidentified" programs to run, in general. Most wre, in my experience, legitimate but I am sure there are a few questionable programs out there...
