    Reboot iPad and/or router.

With my iphone and IOS 6, the iphone located my printer immediately. With IOS 7, I have to try about six times before it reports that the printer is found.

Similar odd situation. I can print on a new Canon MX922 with my iPad on IOS 6. My wife using IOS 7 on both phone and iPad can't. I can also print from my Sony PC on the same wifi network.

Last evening my wife's IOS 7 devices recognized the printer and worked. This morning neither does. Yet the others still do.

    Huh?

Same here.  All was working fine with Airprint on ios6, but can't find printers using ios 7.  Rebooted everything, and still not working.

I am having the same problem with my Brother HL-3170CDW printer and my Ipad 2 with IOS 7.0.2  My airprint printer no longer is found within Airprint.  I updated my router, printers firmware and rebooted everything and same result.  I have to use the iprintscan app to print anything on the ipad anymore as i can manually setup the IP address of the printer, then the iprintscan app sees the printer but not the airprint within IOS 7.  This is limited within the App though.

    an update.

After hours of troubleshooting, and after trolling the support site, I couldnt find a solution.   On a hunch, I deleted the home network from my IPAD and I also deleted my manual setting for my DNS.  Then rejoined my home network then the printer showed back up on the IPAD!  It prints wonderfully too.

I also discovered it was not a print issue, but a network issue. Twice I had to go through the process of restart the router, "forget network," and "join network" before I could print.

Restarting the router. Do you mean your wireless hub? That's the only thing I haven't tried from this discussion yet.

I have a new iPad air which cannot find my airprint printer.  I have the latest printer firmware installed, I have cycled the power on the printer, the router and the iPad.  Both of the other computers (windows xp and vista) on the network work just fine so I am reasonably sure the network is ok. I tried your trick of forgetting and rejoining the network but that didn't work. Any other suggestions?

This answered my question!!  This also worked for me... Finally!  On my iPad 3 I deleted the home network and re -installed it but still didn't work.  I re-booted iPad and router and tried it again, forgetting the network, then joining again.  On my iPhone 5, forgetting the network and re-joining was all it took to find the air printer.

Same problem.     My wife's iphone is still on IOS6 & it works fine, my iphone on IOS7 can't find the printer.   Same network, same printer, IOS7 fails, IOS6 works.

    1. Turn the router, iPad and printer off.

    2. Turn on the router and then wait 30 seconds to let it complete its start-up process.

    3. Turn on printer and then wait 30 seconds to let it complete its start-up process.

    4. Turn on your iPad and test print.
