Q: how do you insert the sim card into the ipad air????

Originally posted to the iPhone hardware forum then moved by the mods.  Still not in the right forum though.

Open the Sim tray with the provided sim tool, or a paper clip and place the sim card inside.

Note: the Sim try is only available in Cellular models of iPads.  Wifi only iPads will not have the tray.

I just stuck 869 Euros up their *sses and they were too cheap to provide that tool!! 

Of course i tried a normal paper clip instead. To no avail.

Now what?

Try a different paper clip. One should work. (It takes a bit of pressure to release the tray.)

I have used the paper clip on my iPhone after having spoken with the Apple store about it. They no longer ship the tool with the iPhone/iPad (at least in the U.S.) because a paper clip is supposed to work.

Okay, i finally got it done. But i almost slashed my fingers in the process. This surely is a complicated procedure when you have fat fingers and hands the size of a polar bear.
