Nov 12, 2013 2:45 PM in response to d066father2kby hollowchld,i'm having this same issue for about a month now, but one of 2 things happen.
1) the sync says it is done. but when i look at my iphone5, i dont have any songs on it but the ones that i bought with my iphone.
2) my computer blue screens giving me a cpu error.
i've tryed everything but reformating my computer, from reinstalling itunes, to restoring my iphone.
please fix this issue soon, even tho i like itunes radio, i much rather have my own music at work.

Nov 18, 2013 5:43 PM in response to d066father2kby obewsey,I agree d066father2k - I have exactly the same issue with my iPhone 5S. However, my ancient iPod syncs fine with my new playlist updates. It MUST be related to the newest iOS download. Any thoughts?

Dec 6, 2013 8:07 PM in response to d066father2kby helenmackenzie,I figured out how to fix this! Under "More" in the Music app, chose "Shared" and then make sure it's your computer that's selected not your phone!

Dec 9, 2013 2:59 PM in response to d066father2kby leadoff04,Was having this problem today as well and couldn't figure it out. Not sure this applies to everyone, but for me it ended up being that I was very close to my icloud storage limit (within 280 MB). Your icloud account includes all your devices, by the way - so while my iphone 5 had plenty of hard drive space, and was nowhere near getting me close to my 5 GB icloud limit, my other iphone and my ipad combined with the iphone 5 had me close.
Anyway, I bought more icloud space, and problem solved (my guess is when it tries to sync playlists and files, it temporarily needs more icloud space to keep both "copies" and then merge them - i'm sure an expert can explain that better).
So I would try buying more icloud space or deleting apps/files/pics from your icloud account and try to sync again.

Jan 23, 2014 1:36 PM in response to d066father2kby Boolius,Go to the top left hand corner in iTunes with your iPhone connected to the computer and select "preferences" from the dropdown list. Go to the Advanced tab and deselect the "Keep itunes Media folder organized." Never have this turned on or you won't be able to find any media since the computer will decide where to put it.
