Nov 5, 2013 7:46 AM in response to timosgby matt cms,This is most likely because it needs to wait for everything else (or most everything else) to be finished downloading. iOS can only download 2 apps at a time.

Nov 5, 2013 5:02 PM in response to matt cmsby timosg,Hey matt cms, nope I am sure that there weren't any apps that are downloading when I did this. So what I did now was logged out my apple ID out of app store, restarted the iPad, logged in again and went to 'new to app store'->'apps made by apple' and found out that it's not free anymore App store would be charging me to get it when I thought it's free right?

Nov 12, 2013 6:37 AM in response to timosgby matt cms,From Apple's site:
Keynote is free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated on or after September 1, 2013. See www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/ for iOS 7 compatible devices. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.

Nov 12, 2013 4:58 PM in response to matt cmsby timosg,★HelpfulHey matt cms and everyone having this problem,
I've contacted apple support and I'm not sure if they did something with my account but when I followed the steps below I successfully downloaded the Keynote app for free:
- Sign out from App store
- Restart iPad
- Go to App store and DO NOT SIGN IN (I've been doing this the whole time but this time I bypassed signing in from the start)
- Go to Keynote app and hopefully you'll see the 'free' button, tap it and sign in when asked. tada.
*as stated above, previously after restarting my iPad I would go to the App store and sign in from the start. Please do not sign in yet when you open App store but browse to Keynote app and sign in only after you tap on the 'free' button
If in case it didn't work I would suggest contacting Apple support.

Nov 23, 2013 11:48 AM in response to timosgby lrvk,Thanks for this suggestion, but for me it didn't work: the apps are not free.
So for me there are 2 situations that seem to appear quite randomly:
1. apps show up as free but clicking does not install them and does not mark them 'purchased'. It spins the progress circle briefly but then falls back to showing the 'free'-button.
2. apps do not show up as free

Apr 2, 2016 8:18 AM in response to Jr.Bautista27by meorazry,Having the exact same problem with my recently purchased iPhone 6s Plus.
My first encounter with their Voice Support teams is lousy. She actually asked me to pay for the apps i need to download.
I think that's pretty ridiculous, since i just bought the device recently, which makes my device is eligible, and Apple actually advertised it as part of the whole iPhone 6/6s package.
