Q: I don't need this update

What if I don't want to add this to my set up? (camera RAW formats) it is not relevant and therefore unnecessary. Can I cancel an update? there used to be a 'cross' but now only the update button.

Mac Pro (Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9), + Cinema screen

The update can't be deleted from the App Store. It's ok to just ignore it.

Try right-clicking on the update and see if you can select Hide. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.

No, right clicking didn't work.... it updated!! no worries...I just don't like having 'stuff' taking up space if I don't need it!! thanks for your reply anyway.

It is difficult to ignore the little red number on the AppStore icon in the dock!!
