Q: Does iOS 6.1.5 provide same security updates as iOS 7?

The info provided with the iOS 6.1.5 update says "This update contains security content originally included in previous iOS Software Updates."

Does this mean that the same vulnerabilities and security updates that were fixed from iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 7.0 were fixed or does it mean the iOS 6.1.5 has the same vulnerabilities and security problems as iOS 6.1.3 and that 6.1.5 only fixed Face Time?

Apple does not say. All theysaid is:

For the protection of our customers, Apple does not disclose, discuss or confirm security issues until a full investigation has occurred and any necessary patches or releases are available. To learn more about Apple Product Security, see the Apple Product Security website.

Just talked with Apple Support on the telephone with this question and from the BS non-responsive response I got, I can only presume that the security fixes were not included in iOS 6.1.5.

Why even bother with an update.

If Apple Support will/can not answer such a fundamental question, I will be finished with Apple products.
