Jan 3, 2014 5:38 PM in response to varjak pawby PlaceNarration,I have the answer to this and can't for the life of me figure out why Apple won't let me post the answer. I've even tried taking a picture of my answer and added it to my reply and it just keeps saying an error has occured. I'm not saying anything bad and simply giving folks the answer after speaking for hours with Apple, and it won't let me pay it forward and post the answer. I don't get it.

Jan 4, 2014 9:36 AM in response to PlaceNarrationby PlaceNarration,Here are 2 answers I found after 3 hours of searching and multiple phone calls to Apple. I found an Apple tech guy who was the nicest and most helpful person I've ever dealt with. Thank you Jason!
Now I'm paying it forward, after finally getting an answer:
1st confirmation that if you have a card on file AND an apple credit balance, iTunes/Apple should take the amount for your iTunes Match renewal from your Apple credit or iTunes gift card credit FIRST.
Ok it won't let me post these links. I have no idea why. Here's how to find them:
Go to Apple's main website.
Click on support.
Then search for: HT4914
Note: "You may use store credit to pay for your iTunes Match subscription; however, you must have a valid payment method on file at the time of sign up."

2nd bit of Apple info:
Go to Apple's main website.
Click on support.
Then search for: HT5582
Note: "Order of iTunes billing methods When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance."
NOW, on Monday my iTunes Match is supposed to renew automatically. If it does and does not take from the credit on my account, I will be a very frustrated Apple users, and will most certainly alert you all to be helpful. If I don't update again, it's because it actually worked the way it should.
Pay it forward when you find out for certain answers folks. We only have each other on these forums.
Cheers,
C

The forum servers had problems for a while with errors in creating posts with links or images. The problem had nothing to so with your posts and affected many uses. It was corrected a few hours later that day for most people.
As to your information, that's as I said back in November. Hopefully your renewal will go through without problems. As long as you again have a valid credit card on file, it should, but if problem arise, go here:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
Regards.
