Hello, I am hardly tech savvy, so I hope my question makes sense. Here goes... Yesterday, for no apparent reason, both my roommate and I ran into issues connecting to the Internet. Both of us have MacBook pros from two different years. We are the only people who use our wifi connection, which has a speed of 20mbps.

For multiple hours, I was running into the issue where I simply could not connect to the Internet. I would get an error message that said something to the effect of "Cannot connect to (wifi name). Connection timed out." My roommate did not get this error message. Internet pages just wouldn't load for her.

After a few hours, the Internet suddenly started to work again. I was able to finally connect to my wifi network, but pages would load slowly or not at all. I had hoped this issue would be resolved today, but it isn't. Although I'm connected to the internet, pages are not loading/taking forever to load and showing partially/improperly loaded pages.

Ways in which I tried to fix the issue yesterday include:

1. Attempting to login to a neighbors wifi, failing, and then attempting to connect to my own network.

2. Deleting the connection to my network and then reestablishing it.

3. Turning the computer off and on.

4. Turning the wifi router off an on.

5. Making sure the cords connected to the router were properly plugged in.

I'm not sure what else to do, but I'm desperate to fix this problem. I honestly don't know if the problem is stemming from the computer or from the wifi network. Thanks for reading. I eagerly await any and I'll advice!
