Q: Itunes library.itl error

When I click on Itunes on my PC it comes up with "Itunes library.itl cannot be read because oif newer version of Itunes". I have tried 'repairing' Itunes in my control panel but the same thing came up after i repaired it. I'm worried I will lose everything if I re-download Itunes. What do I do? Please help!
