About a month ago, I spilt about 1/4 measuring size cup of Diet Coke on my new MacAir.  After several days of leaving the device off, I tried to use it.  Surprisingly, everything worked perfectly.  I was shocked. It wasn't until I unplugged my computer that I realized it didn't work at all and completely turned black

when it wasn't connected to a power source.  Quotes range from about 500-1000 to fix and this doesn't assure the working of the computer at the end.  I wanted to try small measures before Mac replaces everything.  Has anyone experienced this problem?
