Nov 19, 2013 12:28 PM in response to Mrbishworkby vantasy2003,I've seen that article but it does not help. Out of curiosity, is there a minimum speed of internet (uploads/downloads) that is required for itunes? I've narrowed the issue down to my modem or my ISP (Shaw) as the issues persists no matter what device or account I'm using, and with or without a router. Is it possible that itunes and my ISP or modem could have some kind of conflict. I am still able to connect to the internet through my modem/ISP and have run numerous speedtests to confirm that everything is working as it is supposed (and it is). I contacted my ISP and they said the problem must be iTunes. Help!

Nov 19, 2013 12:43 PM in response to carmenfromespby vantasy2003,I've also attempted downloading a free app, just to see what happens. I can download the app just fine as long as I'm not connect to my home modem/ISP.

Nov 19, 2013 1:04 PM in response to vantasy2003by Mrbishwork,Try this, if still won't work contact the Tech support team. http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
On the Home screen, check the Wi-Fi status bar. Make sure it has at least two bars for signal strength.
If your device has cell service, make sure it's turned on: Tap Settings > Tap Cellular > Tap the Cellular Data slider so that it's on (green).
Make sure your software is up to date: Tap Settings > Tap General > Tap Software Update.
Make sure you can connect to the Internet.
Make sure the time zone is correct: Tap Settings > Tap General > Tap Date & Time.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If none of these actions fix your issue,
If you still can't connect to iTunes, contact our AppleCare support team:

Nov 20, 2013 10:06 AM in response to Mrbishworkby vantasy2003,Well, it turns out it was certainly my ISP that was causing the issue (even though they claimed it was an Apple issue). They reset my modem from their end and everything is working great! Thanks for the help
