Q: How do I connect my IPhone 4S to an Airport Base?

I am having trouble selecting it. It says that my Airport Extreme can not be set up to work wiht the IPhone, Please help.

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.3

    What is the model number of your AirPort Extreme?  If you do not know, look on the bottom of the device. The  model number starts with an "A" followed by four numbers. 

     

    You might see something like A1034.

    Thanks for checking on this for me.

     

    Unfortunately, this is an older AirPort Extreme model that cannot be set up or configured with an iPhone.

     

    You will need a Mac running the Leopard or Snow Leopard operating system, or a PC to be able to set up or make any configuration changes to the AirPort Extreme.

     

    If the AirPort Extreme is already set up and providing a wireless network for other wireless devices, then the iPhone could connect to the AirPort Extreme network by selecting the network name and entering the password for the network.

     

    On your iPhone home screen.....

     

    Tap Settings

    Tap Wi-Fi

    Under the heading of CHOOSE A NETWORK, tap on the name of the network that you want to to join, then enter the password to connect
