Q: didn't work

worked for my girlfriends iphone 5 but not my 4s both fully updated phones and itunes. anyone got any sugestions

iOS 7.0.4, 10.5.8

    You can stop songs that are only in the cloud from showing in the Music app on your phone via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under the 'show all' heading) 'off'. If you also want to hide them from the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app, then after hiding them on your computer's iTunes try logging out of your account on your phone via by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in and see if they are then hidden on it - I've been having to do that with apps with iOS 7, it might also apply to songs.

    Yes you would think so. However, I have the same problem. I have a few songs that show up in the "manually added" section, but I am unable to permanently remove them. I remove them and they com right back at the end of the synch. There are a couple of individual albums, too that display the same behavior.

     

    It's a real annoyance because I want to fully mange my own playlists. iTunes seems to think it knows better.

     

    Still looking for a solution.
