It would help to know the Mac OSX version you are running but there should be version info shown in System Profiler (in the folder Applications > Utilities).

Find "Bluetooth" in the left-hand contents pane and click. In the newer OS versions, it looks like this:

Hi Allan. Thanks for the reply. I'm running 4.5.8. I know about system profiler but I don't have access to it right now as the computer is not working. I just wanted to know as I used to have some BT headphones that didn't work with it but worked fine with my iPhone 4 but didn't work with my PowerBook. Now my iPhone and headphones were stolen and I had to revert to using my iPhone  3G. I would like to replace my headphones which were BT 2.1. My 3G is BT 2.1 and I wanted to know if my PB was an older version of BT.

    I'm running 4.5.8

Hmmm. Is that supposed to be "10.5.8"?

I fired up my old G4 17-inch 1ghz running OS 10.4.11 and it shows the BT version as 1.9.5f4. Sorry--I don't have anything else PPC that has BT capability. Maybe another can provide their BT version under 10.5.
