Q: PDF files will not download on Safari.  What can I do to fix it?

Safari does not open PDF files downloaded from websites.  How can I fix this issue?

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), iOS 7.0.4

    Try this ...

     

     

    Open a Finder window then from the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

     

    Type or copy paste the following:

     

    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins

     

    Click Go.

     

    If you see the:  AdobePDFViewer plugin in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, move it to the trash.


     

    Quit and relaunch Safari then try downloading a PDF file.
