    For the most part, they seem to.  I just tried HDR Efex, Silver Efex, and Color Efex and all were OK to load. When I saved the HDR Efex image it showed in thumbnails but not in the main viewer, nor did my other images in the gallery.  A quit and restart of Aperture fixed it.  At any rate save that glitch (which I haven't dug into) it seems mostly fine.

    I had zero problems with all of the Nik suite until Aperture 3.5. Now I get only a blank viewer screen. Relaunch solves the problem for one or two, maybe three views, then blank again.

    Did you change the OS at the same time? Are the plug-ins old? Did you make a large jump in OS? The point I am cirling towards is that you may have PPC based plug-ins, and with the removal of Rosetta, you can't use those anymore.

    i went from 10.6.8 to 10.9, that worked well except for aperture. i had 3.2.2 and i think that is as far as i could update aperture untill the os was updated. apple helped me get aperture updated to 3.5 which so far is working fine. i had copies of my libraries and they needed updating to work in 3.5 and after a bit of head scratching that got done also. i had tried the nik trial before i started switching the os and liked it so i wondered if it worked with the new os. their site says good to 10.8. i came across this forum and decided to ask you good folks and i thank those people. since i asked the question i got a response back from nik saying that they are testing and when they get it working right with 10.9 they will automaticly update. the version of nik that i am using is the latest i assume as i downloaded it yesterday, it is the trial version, no idea how many times you can try the trial but this is my second time. anyhow nik works but i have the grey screen problem with the view screen, as several others have also said. i discovered this morning that if i went to full screen that i could view my nik edit when i could not in viewer mode. the only other problem i have found with 3.5 is with the trash, there is no disclosure triangle to the left of the trash can and i cannot view the trash. shen the cursor is on the can it tells me the munber of files there but that's it. going to ask apple about that one. one last thing and maybe this is common knowledge but you get 90 days of free support from apple when you go to 10.9.

    Just saying that 10.6.8 was the last that worked with Rosetta.

    I'm having the same issue Tom is having, specifically with HDR Efex 2.  After using the plug-in i can no longer see anything in the viewer.  I have to quit Aperture and resart it.

    Just got the NIK Collection from Google (for Aperture 3.5). Unfortunately the problem is still there. Uninstalled NIK and the problem goes away.

    Just in case readers of this thread did not see the other thread on this subject at http://discussions.apple.com/thread/5520377?start=0&tstart=0

    I found a work-around to the missing Viewer images (grey screen) when using NIK plug-ins:

    Do the editing in the Viewer, then go back to Browser before going the NIK plug-in (in my case Color Efex and Define). Do the NIK processing. When the image is returned to Aperture, I can export it to my website application normally. Then for the next photo, I follow the same steps and haven't had any grey screens today.

    The only time I have had a problem is when I go from Viewer to NIK instead of Browser to NIK.

    This will help 'til we get the fix from NIK.

    The plug ins have always worked for me. But in terms of procedure, my routine is to:

    * select photo in browser

    or

    * open photo in viewer

    * navigate to Photos pull down menu

    * navigate to Edit with Plug-in

    * select proper NIK tool

    Both routines worked seemlessly.

    I have the same issue, viewer (split) mode doesn't work after using nik plug in, requires close/open

    Just downloaded the new Mavericks-compliant NIK software (dated 11/14/13). Uninstalled the old version and installed the new. Still doesn't work correctly. The workflow in my 11/19 post still works, though.

    I sent a message back to NIK, awaiting a response.
