I got 11.1 in prep for putting iOS7 on my iPhone 5. After first sync (still on ios 6), all heck broke loose with my podcasts. I was previously subscribed to all my podcasts in itunes, then would sync them to my phone. Now it appears I am no longer subscribed in itunes, but am subscribed on my iphone, and all sorts of old podcasts appear in both locations. Can anyone tell me what's happening and how to deal with it?

Thanks!

I had the same problem.  You must click on your settings under each podcast and re-subscribe.

    No... not quite that easy.

This is not a fix to properly show podcasts in the list view. Podcasts were sync'ed across OS X and IOS before 11.1

Now it's just a mess. Podcasts appear correctly in IOS 7 and show up for 3 months of previous episodes in iTunes even though my settings are specifically set to 3 orless episodes.

Todd Stack, I'm afraid there is no fix for showing podcasts properly in the List view. The List view as of iTunes 11.1 is basically broken: "My Podcasts" and "My Stations" are now much better choices. They're not as good as List view used to be, but they're a lot better than what it is now. I suspect that the only fix for the now-useless List view is a hypothetical future update from Apple.

Lost In Asia, you are right. The My Podcast view is better, but not as good as the list view. Apple's Podcast effort has been awful, each iTunes release blows it up. I wish there were an easier alternative.

I've also experienced this. But now it's worse. iTunes has also stopped syncing things I've downloaded from my laptop to my phone. It is also randomly un subscribing from either my phone or itunes. I was really hoping 7.0.4 fixed this... Not so much.

Between the podcasts app and itunes 11.1. I'm hating my experience right now...
