I just bought 2 iPad minis, my wife used the sim that came with her iPad. I was wondering if I could use the sim from my iPhone 4S as it looks to be the same size sim that my wife installed on her iPad. Thank you for any info.

No. The iPhone 4S uses a micro-SIM while the iPad mini uses a nano-SIM. It says that in the article from which you came.
