Q: DAE Files and Reflections / Transperency.

Does anyone know if i can get reflections and transparency happening in ibooks with DAE files? I've attempted a few exports out of C4D and Maya with no luck. Any advice appreciated.

iBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

I haven't tired transparency. Any objet I needed to be transparent I had to just delete. Reflections,  don't work properly for me either.

This might be totally dependant on what app you are suing to prep your models. I am using Maxon's Cinema4D, and my transparency settins have always worked, although I've had to do much testing.

Reflection settings were ignored up until ios7. Now, in the new Ibooks app in iOS7, not only do they read the reflectivity settings, but its turned up to 100%, and it will ignore any other setting I apply to it, so I just leave it off.

The specular settings do work as long as its not cranked up to high. If it is up to high, the flat surfaces of the model will turn white as they rotate to the camera and look like they dissapear.
