Q: Mac mini

I currently have a HP Touchsmart PC that needs to go. The screen, 27 in, and everything else is good. Wondering if can just change operating system buying a mani mini with server or without? Just want to use same screen with Apple OS?

What connector does that 27" screen have on it?

Touch may not work without finding drivers for it.

Don't care about touch, have hard drive issue and rather use than throw away. Recycling nuts.....

Hmmm, not sure this is the right model, but this has an HDMI input...

Mac Mini can do HDMI, but I'm not sure that port on the HP would work without the HP running.

I'm kind of thinking it won't work, but not sure of course.
